Victor, descendant of a Mexican family from Jalisco, learned the value of hard work from his father, Jesus Figueroa. Growing up, he saw his father working hard labor warehouse jobs working long hours to provide for his family. Victor followed those steps started his working career doing hard labor jobs, from warehousing, to working at the local waste water plant for the City of Albany, Oregon, to then going to going back to school to pursue his Associates in
Business Administration to be the first member of his family to attend college, then branchingout into Human Resources.
